Here are my projects. I primarily write adult fantasy, though I’m open to exploring most spec fic if the mood strikes. Titles and summaries are listed below, along with medium spoilers. None are published as of yet, though I am actively querying and working on new projects from month to month.
Souls and Smoke, adult fantasy
Kirial Dinherran, the shape-changing Soul Speaker, grapples with her guilt over her adopted brother’s death, when she’s given the opportunity to redeem herself by tracking down the would-be assassin of their parents, the Grand Duke and Duchess of Shonneaha, and bringing him to justice.
Unfortunately, the assassin flees to the Virescent Maze—a smoke-filled forest valley only one person has survived in living memory: Kirial’s partner, Verran. The two travel to the Maze with a group of companions, but they die after only a few days inside. Kirial is saved at the last moment by a mysterious ally, a woman named Nyxim, who lends her the ability to rewind time and live again.
While grappling with this bizarre new ability and evading the deadly touch of the Maze, Kirial struggles to separate her friends from her foes. To escape the Maze, she needs to determine the true allegiances of the assassin, solve the mystery of Verran’s past, and discover why Nyxim was imprisoned in the first place . . . or risk being stuck in the Maze while her country is destroyed and eaten alive by her guilt until the end of her days.
The Haunted, adult fantasy
In Hl’renda, a traumatic memory of getting your heart broken can create a haunt—a burning, opalescent specter that will rip you apart if it can. The people of Hl’renda sequester themselves in capital cities, terrified of the wild haunts prowling the land around them and of their neighbors next door, who could kill them by simply having a bad day.
As haunt-touched, Pella, Esther, and Weverly are blessed by the god of death with the ability to control their haunts—hypothetically—but a childhood of horror has broken the siblings’ minds and driven them into hiding with their adoptive mother, Weverly, who lost control over her haunt and killed their abusive father.
Now, ten years later, the three are forced apart.
45-year-old Weverly leaves their home to hunt those who abused the siblings long ago, ashamed that she is the reason they were driven out in the first place.
A horror-struck 22-year-old Pella flees home after he unwittingly steals one of Esther’s haunts and journeys south to seek training from the Awoken, a mysterious group that could hold his salvation or his damnation.
And, in exile after nearly destroying her home due to her connection to wild haunts, 17-year-old Esther travels to the city of scholarship in hopes that a monster like her can learn to control herself before she is discovered by those looking to exploit her abilities.
Cassandra, adult dystopian
My next project. I’ve conceptualized a rough plot and characters, but I haven’t had time to dig into it properly since my attention has been on Souls and Smoke. I want to dive into this project in the fall if I can. Fingers crossed!

Ghost in the Gears: Connected to the world of The Haunted. A man confronts the tragic memory of the loss of his child . . . and pays the price for his negligence.
The Coin: A demon in a golden coin determines a woman’s luck for the day. Will her heist prove successful, regardless of her terrible luck?
The Plague Holder: A powerful man wishes to kill his local lord and asks the Plague Holder for one of her diseases. She warns him of his folly, but nothing will stop him from grasping for the power that lies just out of his reach.
